January 18 '08: In a press release, the CompuDyne Corp. subsidiary Tiburon Inc., announced a new partnership with Anne Arundel County, Maryland to build "an integrated public safety system" which will use a computer-aided dispatch (CAD) system like the one recently installed last spring in Minneapolis.
"The new system will provide several benefits to county law enforcement, fire agencies, and corrections operations, including effective resources management, increased productivity, and enhanced information sharing and accuracy," the press release read.

Details of the system include the CAD capability as well as "Law Enforcement and Fire Records Management, Investigative Analysis, Mobile Communication, Institutional Management and Civil Process systems."

Stuart Mackiernan, the President and CEO of CompuDyne said the arrangement with Anne Arundel County came, in part, because of the company's desire to "serve our local community with a full range of systems."

The system being installed by Tiburon is being used in the City of Baltimore, Prince George's County, MD, and Arlington County, VA.
